From Behind the Lens to the Wall: A Moment to Remember

There’s something surreal about seeing your work step out of your screen and onto a wall, framed, observed, and felt by others. Being part of the Photo Poster Project, a global touring exhibition series by Cizucu, a Japan-based photography community, was more than just an opportunity. It was an experience that stayed with me.

As photographers, we often let our images speak for us. Each frame holds a story, a moment, a feeling that words can rarely match. But standing beside my work and watching people pause, observe, and connect gave those silent stories a new dimension.

One of the most enriching parts of the experience was interacting with fellow photographer. Listening to the stories behind their frames, understanding their thought processes, and sharing perspectives made it feel less like an exhibition and more like a collective exchange of ideas. It was inspiring to see how differently each of us sees the world, yet how deeply connected we are through the same passion.

What made it even more special was getting the chance to speak about my photograph, the story and thought behind that single frame. As someone who prefers letting images do the talking, putting those emotions into words was not easy. It felt like trying to explain something that was always meant to be felt, not said. Yet it opened a new way of connecting with both the audience and my own work.

And of course, the true credit lies with the people within my frames, the real heroes of these stories. Their presence, their authenticity, and the moments they lived are what truly give life to these images. I was simply an observer, a witness to something real unfolding in front of me. Every expression, every detail, every emotion belongs to them. I only had the privilege of capturing it and sharing it with the world.

What started as a single poster now feels like the beginning of something much bigger. It is a small step, but one that carries the hope of one day presenting a full gallery, with more stories, more frames, and more moments finding their place beyond me.

Experiences like these remind me why I picked up the camera, not just to document, but to connect, to express, and to let stories travel beyond me.

Grateful to be part of something that brings photographers together across the world.

This is just the beginning.
